bits and pieces

recently I was asked to help a friend with an animation for Doune the rabbit hole. I did the rather crudely animated tree you see in the background to help hime out. I really like his rabbits walk cycle... it makes me smile :)

Colour the universe

Just after the end of term I was asked to help out with 2 girls from school looking to do work experience week in animation. Normally they would follow a student or tutor around but seeing as it was after the academic year was finished the tutor decided to do a full production with them starting with their concept/idea and developing a script, storyboards, animatic and design before we started animating and compositing.

the girls had some amazing ideas and did really well to accomplish this animation. The animation is a paper stop motion which the girls and I had a lot of fun with. Here is their short a animation Colour The Universe

Space Panda

Last semester we visited an animation presentation where we got the opportunity to hear from some successful animation students and animators working in the industry. As part of this presentation we had to do an exercise where we had to come up with a character and a story.

My character was Space Panda....
